Klüver-Bucy syndrome: a behavioural disorder that occurs when both the right and left medial temporal lobes of the brain malfunction
knowledge-based processes in human error: processes such as thinking, reasoning, creativity and design which are rooted in knowledge of the world and how it works, failures in which lead to human error
Kruskal-Wallis test: a test of whether three or more conditions differ when data across those conditions are independent (e.g. the same participants have been tested in all conditions) that can be used when the assumptions underlying one-way independent ANOVA have not been met
kurtosis: the degree to which scores cluster in the tails of a frequency distribution (see leptokurtic and platykurtic)
